This piece of fully automated equipment I designed and built was essentially two machines in one. An ultraviolet light glue joint curing mode directly followed by cured joint strength tensile testing to verify correct level of curing occurred. Combining the operations avoided unnecessary loading and unloading and provided advance warning of process drift as the consumable UV bulb filament naturally degrades.
